Use this space to craft a strong, detailed paragraph about the intended subject of your text. In your pitch, include a short bio and outline how you specifically will be able to shape the proposed discussion.
Please send pitches in the body of an email to team@arts.black. The subject of your email should be formatted as such: PITCH: CATEGORY – ARTIST NAME AND/OR CENTRAL THEME. Additionally, we ask that you include the links to or attach 2 clips for review.
We do not respond to pitches sent via social media.
Some helpful tips
We are a small team and cannot respond to social media inquiries about pitches. Please allow 4-6 weeks for review. Unfortunately, we are not able to respond to everyone, so if you do not hear from us after that time, please consider pitching again. If your submission has been accepted elsewhere, please let us know that as well.
We do not provide transcription services. When submitting an interview, please submit an edited transcription for review.
If you are reviewing show that has been closed for more than three months, please consider pitching with another publication.
We do not accept previously published work. We do not accept poetry or fiction and we do not accept pitches from artists pitching their own work to be written about.
